What Are You Doing on Sunday?

Day 108, 2255 grams

Another successful feeding day: 6 out of 6. That puts me on target for my release on Sunday. I'm glad that the big chief in charge, Dr. Papageorgiou, is confident that I'll be going home. Mommy and daddy have been going through all sorts of discharge forms and got my vitamins from the drug store. They said goodbye to some of my nurses who have the week-end off, and so will miss my departure. And they shed a few tears saying goodbye to my special guardian angel, who saved my life a couple of months ago. I'll be back to visit you soon!

I heard that Sunday there are going to be parties, bands, a parade, and even fireworks. Wow! I feel honoured! I think every July 1st from now on should have celebrations like that!

I will call it "Andrej Day."

I am so happy to hear these great news !!!

You are a very strong boy and your parents should be very proud of you !

Augusto is also very happy to see his friend hitting all the targets to go home !

Augusto is still recovering from the surgery. Everything went fine although he had to go back to the Ventilador ( we hope just for a few days )

You should really get a BIG party ! You are a winner ! And you are very luck to have a Mommy and Daddy that love you this much.

We will celebrate Andrej Day here in Brazil !

Best luck !

Hey Mr Andrej,

I'm so proud of you. So many people having been waiting for your escape, Canada Day has always been a specail day for me and my
S-Daughter ( the S is for specail) now it will be extra specail.( I'm not a real Canadain and Miss K's bio Mummy lives in the UK and almost had to move there..we are glad she didn't! Canada is the best)
I am taking a bunch of kids up to your Oma and Opa's to pick some strawberries today. I'm sure I will get some big excited hugs...I like hugs. We will make sure to eat as many strawberries as we can in you honour. Next summer you will be able to pick some strawberries as YEAH. Give your Mom and Dad a hug for me and go easy on them. They are in for a few long nights....all babies are hard work but the love you little guys give is worth it.
Congrats big boy

Andrej, I am so excited for you it makes me want to cry. (But I am a big weepie person that way.) I am also excited for your parents - I am sure they are just thrilled, but probably also are a little bit sad and miss your big brother especially at a time like this. But that's okay, too. Anyway, I can't wait to hear the big news on Sunday, "Andrej Day!"

Hey!
This is to be sung in the key of Eb major, and the preferred accompaniment is acoustic piano:

On Andrej Day, right here in Canada
Fireworks and flags will fly across the land
In honour of your journey home
The strawberries have set
Their coats are red, their fruit is sweet,
They're ripening for thee.
Grandparents pray
Cousins do cheer
Aunts, Uncles, friends across the continents
Raise voices giving thanks for this great day!

Dear boy, Go home :)

Wow!

What can I say?

I hope you keep this blog going, although I'll understand if you take some time off to enjoy your new home. Make sure to post some pics of your room when you get a chance.

I'm gonna miss you and your parents' familiar faces. Mommy always puts a smile on my face with all her stories (Tiffany rings, Sofitel, mobiles, horse meat, etc)and who's gonna be our "senior citizen" now?

Seriously though, I still owe you an Ice Cap, so keep me posted on when you want me to give it to you ;)

Love
Ceci
